I stole this from AJ, what a great idea! I'm, also following her suit by setting aside the more obvious things I'm thankful for (husband, family, friends, health, home, job) and focus on the little day-to-day things that I'm thankful for.
This Thursday I am thankful for:
1. Our neighbors and their chickens! Today I was greeted by Bob Marley the chicken hanging out on D$'s jeep. I went next door to let them know that Bob had escaped and Susan (our awesome neighbor and super mom to 3 ENERGETIC children) came over and took Bob away. It added a touch of whimsy to my day!
2. My in-laws. (I know, right?!!) D$'s dad made us a table for our entry room and is delivering it right now as I type! I can't wait to see what he did- and *if* he followed my suggestions.
3. Summer in the desert. This is the best time in Tucson. My job slows down to a trickle, I have more free time, longer days and less people. The snowbirds are gone, the U of A kids are gone, anyone with enough money to leave is gone. Leaving me with my city, great deals at bars and our favorite dinning spots!
I wholeheartedly agree with your #3!!! I love that it's less crowded! I just wish my job slowed down, too. =) Yay for in-laws (sometimes)!
