Just say no.

D$ and I are doing something we've never done before.  We aren't going on vacation.  We are trying a (shudder) stay-cation.

I have a short week next week, and D$ decided to take some days off to to join me.  We were going to go to Seattle, Chicago, San Francisco, northern Arizona, anywhere for an early two year anniversary, long weekend. 

Seattle we had a free place to stay, but flights were pricey.  Chicago, flights and hotels were good, but we couldn't get the into the restaurant we wanted.  San Fran flight times didn't work out.  The hotels in northern Arizona are just pricey enough to be annoying; if I'm going to spend $130/night- I'd rather do it in a big city. 

After weeks of play planning- nothing worked out.  So we just threw in the towel and decided to stay home.  We are staying home.  We have no plans, no real goals- nothing we have to do.  And I'm actually excited for it!
