I did nothing of consequence, but a lot of it. Here's a bit of a rundown:
1. Chili cookoff- 2 trips
2. Perfecting my dim sum recipe.
3. Learning that dim sum, potstickers and dumplings are essentially the same thing, different names
4. Starting and finishing a book.
5. scrubbing the kitchen floor so well, my triceps still hurt 3 days later and it shines!
6. Knitting a little.
7. Baking chocolate chip cookies for my husband's return.
8. Watching my Alma mater play football and win back the governor's cup!
9. Going to my last UA home game of the season. (Notice the qualifier of "home game"- when the 'Cats beat Oregon and we go to the Rose Bowl- I'll be there!)
10. Listening to at least 7 podcasts of "Wait, Wait don't tell me" while baking, cooking, scrubbing and knitting.
11. organizing books in my house. Recently on some fabulous blog I read, I saw a spread of pic about bookshelves organized by book color (if this was your piece, let me know so I can acknowledge you- I've totally forgotten where I saw it and who wrote it!). The blog was filled with stunning photos like this:
Well I needed to organize my books anyhow- so I decided to tackle one of my bookshelves with this idea. The result:
I kept some series books together on the bottom right- but other than that- no matter the genre- I organized by color. What do you think?A note about the shelves: they were my parents bookshelves- the received them as a wedding present 44 years ago. The came with me to college and then I moved them out to Arizona. The are old, metal with wood-grain, difficult to dust but sturdy and lovely.

I love the bookshelf idea... I think it would look really cool in my office... but I am far too anal. I want to be able to find my books. :)
Such a productive weekend, woo!
I love the sort by color bookshelves. I prefer randomly organized shelves. I'll have a chance to resort them when we move.
Our shelves are about as random as it gets.
I love me some pot stickers but I fear I wouldn't have the dexterity to make them. There'd be dough, filling and for some reason sugar everywhere.
